US-based Niagara Bottling has agreed to acquire First Quality Water and Beverage's bottled water business for an undisclosed sum.

First Quality is engaged in the production of private label and Pureau brand bottled water.

Niagara Bottling president and CEO Andy Peykoff II said: "This acquisition gives us a greater presence in the Northeast and is another exciting chapter in Niagara's history. We've always considered First Quality a strong competitor with an excellent product offering.

"Similar to Niagara, they focus their efforts on their customers, their employees, and the communities they serve.

"First Quality is engaged in the production of private label and Pureau brand bottled water."

“With Niagara acquiring the water and business segment and integrating the customers and lines into our network, their customers will continue to receive great quality and service from another family business."

Niagara Bottling operates facilities in the US and Mexico. The company’s product offerings include bottled water, sparkling water, tea, sports drinks, and vitamin-enhanced waters.

In addition, the company works with some of the largest retailers, grocers, clubs, and convenience stores in the country.
