New Belgium Brewing, a Colorado-based craft brewery, is all set to expand its distribution footprint to Mississippi, also called as Magnolia state, starting from 3 March 2014.

The move is part of the company’s plans to distribute its beers across the 50 states of the country before 2018.

Mississippi will serve as its 37th state of distribution.

To meet its goals, the brewery has signed wholesale agreements with six distributors in the Magnolia state.

The distributors are Capital City Beverage (Miller/Coors), Mitchell Distributing (ABI), FEB Distributing (Miller/Coors), A&B Distributing (ABI), Stokes Distributing (Miller/Coors) and Magnolia Beverage (Miller/Coors).

The brewery will follow the same approach used recently in Ohio, Alaska, Florida and Delaware for the roll out of beers in Mississippi.

Some of the brews that will be immediately available for sale include Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Shift, Tripel, 1554, Summer Helles, Snapshot Wheat and various Lips of Faith series beers.

New Belgium Brewing regional director Rusty Hancock said they are pleased to be rolling into Mississippi.

"With the recent addition of Alabama, we are now available throughout the entire southeastern U.S. and that’s something we’ve been working toward for awhile now," Hancock added.

New Belgium Brewing is also constructing its second brewery in North Carolina, which is expected to begin operations in 2015.

The company has secured a site close to the upcoming brewery for its east coast distribution centre, which will generate around 30 of the total 140 expected jobs.
