Nestlé Waters has opened its new factory in Surat Thani, Thailand, which will serve as the second manufacturing and distribution hub for bottled water brand Nestlé Pure Life.

Located at the Punpin district in Surat Thani province, the new factory will distribute bottled water to consumers across the country.

Nestlé Indochina chairwoman and chief executive officer Audrey Liow said: “At Nestlé, we are committed to enhancing quality of life and contributing to a healthier future for Thai people.

“For more than 20 years, Nestlé Waters’ business operations in Thailand have produced high-quality drinking water that meets Nestlé’s global standards to satisfy Thai consumers’ demands for water they can trust for themselves and their families.”

Nestlé (Thai) business executive officer Luca Chioda said: “We invested more than 1,800m baht ($51.5m) to build the Nestlé Pure Life Surat Thani Factory, our second production facility in Thailand for high-quality drinking water.

“We are creating value for the community with a focus on environmental sustainability, using state-of-the-art technology that minimises water consumption and an efficient logistics network to improve environmental performance.”

"At Nestlé, we are committed to enhancing quality of life and contributing to a healthier future for Thai people."

The Surat Thani factory is spread across 170,000m² and includes designated areas for production, warehousing, offices, and utility services.

This facility will produce bottled water in 0.33l, 0.6l, and 1.5l sizes.

The new factory is equipped with advanced vibratory shear enhanced membrane processing (VSEP) technology, which increases water recovery and reduces water consumption in the entire production process.

The Surat Thani factory will serve as a distribution hub for the southern provinces.
