Nesquik, a brand of Nestle USA, has introduced Protein Plus, a milk product line targeted at adults wanting more protein in their daily diets, in the US.

Protein Plus contains 23g of protein and comes with a heightened nutritional profile.

The drink comes in two flavours; chocolate and vanilla.

"The drink is claimed to be made with milk from cows not treated with the added growth hormone rBST."

It is available in 14oz pre-mixed, ready-to-drink bottles.

The drink is claimed to be made with milk from cows not treated with the added growth hormone rBST, and contains 28% less sugar than other protein-enhanced flavoured milk.

Protein Plus is available at local convenience and select grocery stores.

Nesquik, a flavoured milk brand, claimed that eight fluid ounces of low-fat milk mixed with Nesquik Powder provides 30% of the recommended daily intake of calcium, and an 8oz ready-to-drink serving provides 40% of the recommended daily intake of calcium.

Nestlé USA reported sales of $9.7bn in 2014. It is part of Nestlé SA in Vevey, Switzerland, which reported sales of $100bn in 2014.
