Michael David Winery has expanded its 7 Deadly Zins brand with the addition of 2015 7 Deadly Red wine.

Available from 1 April in stores across the US, the 2015 7 Deadly Red is priced at $16.

Containing fresh blackberry and dark cherry fruit, the wine was aged in both French and American oak barrels. It has scents of clove and spice, with hints of campfire smoke and vanilla.

Michael David Winery has been producing 7 Deadly Zins for almost 15 years. The flagship wine is distributed to all 50 US states and more than 22 countries worldwide.

"Adding this new wine brings a new edge to this already sultry brand."

Michael David Winery's vice-president of sales and marketing Melissa Phillips Stroud said: "Adding this new wine brings a new edge to this already sultry brand. After all, one good sin leads to another, right."

Michael David Winery is owned by brothers Michael and David Phillips. The company released its first commercial wine in 1984 under the Phillips Vineyards label after years of growing grapes for other wineries.

Michael and David have more than 800 acres of vineyards in Lodi and the winery is located one mile east of Interstate 5 on Highway 12.
