Beverage firm Tradition Mexico has launched its Padre azul Tequila in the US.

The tequila will be imported to the US by Park Street Imports, and initially distributed in the Florida and Georgia markets.

Padre azul's co-founder and co-owner Hans-Peter Eder said: "People are responding to the brand's premium quality, value, and rock style, which has led to a strong focus on the natural launch into the US."

The spirit will be distributed by Savannah Distributing in the Georgia market. Tradition Mexico plans to further collaborate with distributors in other markets.

"People are responding to the brand's premium quality, value, and rock style."

Eder noted: "This brand is a major player internationally. Now that it's available in the US, it should come as no surprise that both retailers and consumers would respond to its quality and value."

The Padre azul Tequila distillery uses blue weber agave to produce the spirit.
