McDonald’s McCafé has introduced limited-edition beverages Peppermint Mocha and Peppermint Hot Chocolate at select restaurants in the US.

The restaurant chain claims to sustainably source coffee beans for McCafé Peppermint Mocha from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. The beverage is served with steamed US-sourced whole or nonfat milk, and peppermint chocolate syrup.

McCafé Peppermint Hot Chocolate is a freshly brewed beverage featuring mint and hot chocolate.

Both of the drinks will be served with whipped topping and chocolate drizzle, which does not contain any artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.

“Our Peppermint Mocha is made with café-quality espresso made from 100% Arabica beans.”

McCafé menu innovation senior director Elina Veksler said: “These festive McCafé beverages deliver enticing flavours that are holiday favourites.

“For many, nothing comes before coffee, even during the holidays, which is why our Peppermint Mocha is made with café-quality espresso made from 100% Arabica beans.

“Our customers are sure to enjoy our delicious Peppermint Mocha and our other seasonal favourite, Peppermint Hot Chocolate.”

Effective immediately, Peppermint Mocha and Peppermint Hot Chocolate will be available for $2.
