M&As this week: Gruppo Campari, Anheuser-Busch, Cott Beverages


Gruppo Campari has reached an agreement to sell its entire equity in subsidiary TJ Carolan & Son to Heaven Hill Brands for $165m on a cash-free / debt-free basis.

The ownership of Gruppo Campari’s Carolans and Irish Mist assets will also be transferred.

Anheuser-Busch has acquired Hiball Energy, an organic energy drink and juice maker based in the US.

Signature brands Hiball Energy and Alta Palla will be transferred to Anheuser-Busch.

"Cott Beverages is set to be acquired by Refresco, an independent soft drinks and fruit juices bottler based in the Netherlands."

The transaction is expected to be completed by Q3, 2017.

The purchase consideration for the transaction is $1.25bn.

Refresco will acquire Cott's North America, UK, and Mexico businesses, excluding the RCI International division, the RCI concentrate facility, and the Aimia Foods division.
