Luxco, a US-based producer and marketer of distilled beverages and liqueurs, has stated that its new distillery that will be built in Bardstown, Kentucky, named Lux Row Distillers.

Luxco also released a logo for its new distillery.

The new distillery will be located in Nelson County on a 70ac site, near state highway KY-245.

"We wanted the distillery, to incorporate aspects of the Lux family name, the scenic property we are located on and the bourbon heritage of the area."

Upon completion, the distillery building will be approximately 18,000f² and will feature six barrel warehouses, a tasting room, and event space.

Luxco chairman and CEO Donn Lux said: “We have worked diligently to find the perfect and most inspiring name for the new distillery and we are excited to have landed on the name Lux Row Distillers.

“We wanted the distillery, which represents a new chapter in our family and company evolution, to incorporate aspects of the Lux family name, the scenic property we are located on and the bourbon heritage of the area.”

The company said that its new distillery is being built alongside an existing house on the property, which is registered as a National Historic Place. The property also boasts scenic views.

Lux further added: “When we drove into the property for the first time, we were captivated with the long and beautiful rows of trees that line the long driveway and felt that should be a part of the name as well.”

The new distillery will enable the company to meet the growing demand for its bourbon brands, such as Rebel Yell, Blood Oath and Ezra Brooks.

The distillery is expected to be operational in the last quarter of next year.
