Unilever brand Lipton has expanded its product portfolio in the US with the launch of Organic Black Tea.

The company claims that the tea is made with USDA Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified black tea leaves picked from the Kenyan Highlands. It is designed to be served hot or cold.

Unilever tea director George Hamilton said: "We're thrilled to bring an organic option to the market at an affordable price.

"We are also hugely proud of the blend that will deliver a naturally smooth taste that's rich and delicious."

"The suggested retail price of Organic Black Tea is $4 for a 72-count box of individually wrapped tea bags."
