Liberty Wines is set to distribute Sogrape Vinhos wine range in the UK.

The firm intends to intially introduce Sogrape at Annual Portfolio Tasting in London on 17 January, with plans for pricelisting from February.

Founded in 1942, Sogrape operates across four countries and owns 18 wine estates, as well as nine wineries across five countries. The wines from these estates are distributed in more than 120 markets.

Sogrape's portfolio includes Sandeman Ports, Finca Flichman from Argentina, Chateau Los Boldos from Chile, Casa Ferreirinha and Quinta de Azevedo from Portugal, and Bodegas from Spain. The firm has recently relaunched its Sandeman tawnies with 10, 20, 30, and 40 year old expressions.

Liberty Wines distributes multiple brands such as Allegrini from Italy, Montes from Chile, Peter Lehmann and Shaw & Smith from Australia, and Greywacke and Tinpot Hut from New Zealand, as well as Charles Heidsieck Champagnes.

With annual sales turnover of more than £45m, the firm employees 130 people.
