California-based Karl Strauss Brewing will re-introduce small batch beers Queen of Tarts Dark Sour Ale and Liquid A/C English Summer Ale next month on US public holiday Labor Day.

Both of the ales will be released on draft, while Liquid A/C English Summer Ale will also be available in cans.

Karl Strauss Brewing Company brewmaster Matt Johnson said: “After the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) last year everyone wanted to try these beers, but as with all limited releases, they were gone rather quickly.

"Both of the ales will be released on draft, while Liquid A/C English Summer Ale will also be available in cans."

“Ever-rotating brews are part of the beauty of our small batch programme, but it also means that many people did not get the chance to try Queen of Tarts or Liquid A/C. So, as we prepare for this year’s GABF, we felt it was the perfect time to bring back some of our favourites in celebration of last year’s wins.”

Established in 1989, Karl Strauss Brewing has been producing craft beers such as Aurora Hoppyalis india pale ale (IPA), Queen of Tarts Dark Sour, and Wreck Alley Imperial Stout.

Labor Day is celebrated on the first day of September and celebrates the American labour movement.
