Invisible Sentinel, a global molecular solutions company, has developed two new detection tools powered by its Veriflow technology for breweries.

The brewMAP tool detects Megasphaera and Pectinatus species, while brewLAP is meant for the pan detection of lactic acid-producing species.

Invisible Sentine claimed that the two tools were developed and validated with the support of key partners who successfully implemented Veriflow technology at their breweries.

"The tremendous reception of brewPAL has led to strategic partnerships with many of the industry's most respected breweries."

The two detection tools are being exhibited at the World Brewing Congress, which is held in Denver, Colorado from 13 to 17 August.

California-based Stone Brewing quality assurance manager Rick Blankemeier said: "brewLAP has been invaluable in determining the presence of lactic beer spoilers with our low bitterness and low Alcohol brands.

"We utilise some of those brands for spirit barrel aging, and the ability to rapidly diagnose issues gives us peace of mind. Using brewLAP with brewPAL has really helped us troubleshoot any micro issues we may come across in our brewing and barrel-aging processes."

Invisible Sentinel CEO Nick Siciliano said: "The tremendous reception of brewPAL has led to strategic partnerships with many of the industry's most respected breweries.

"These ongoing partnerships allow us to better understand the microbial detection needs of brewers and industry quality professionals. We have received multiple requests for brewMAP and brewLAP, and we are proud to have rapidly addressed those needs with the launch of these products."

More than 100 breweries in over 15 countries are using Veriflow technology. This technology enables breweries to ensure their beer meets quality standards.
