Nordic wine and spirits producer Altia has entered a distribution agreement with California-based Infinium Spirits to launch its Koskenkorva Vodka brand in the US market.

The Finnish-based vodka brand is one of Altia's key exports and currently available in 30 countries worldwide.

Infinium Spirits is a family-owned company that specialises in the import, sales and marketing of various spirits brands.

Infinium Spirits president Steven Brecher said: “Craft and provenance are strong, growing trends among spirits consumers in the US market.

"Infinium Spirits is a strategic partner to us and we aim to build the brand and distribution with a long-term view.”

"The pure, genuine and delicious Koskenkorva Vodka meets this trend perfectly. We are excited to complement our distinctive spirits portfolio with this ‘vodka from a village’.”

Altia will initially introduce Koskenkorva Vodka Original in both 750ml and 1l bottles across the US market.

Altia Export senior vice-president Janne Halttunen said: “The recent rebranding work of Koskenkorva Vodka has brought us several international awards and interest in export markets.

Altia’s own brands include Blossa, Chill Out, Koskenkorva, Larsen, Renault, O.P. Anderson, Valhalla and Xanté, and are distributed in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
