Italian coffee roasting company illycaffè has launched a new single serve espresso and a coffee machine called Y3.2.

Designed by Piero Lissoni, Y3.2 is claimed to be an easy-to-use machine that can produce espresso and filtered coffee.

Developed for the illy Iperespresso capsule system, the new Y3.2 features a water tank with a 25.4oz capacity, as well as a power save function that is automatically activated when the machine is not in use.

Illy’s Iperespresso technology has been designed and developed by the illycaffè research and innovation labs in Trieste, Italy.

The Iperespresso capsule extracts coffee through infusion and emulsion stages. This process ensures optimal extraction of the coffee aromas, making it possible to brew espresso that has a smooth and full-bodied aroma with long-lasting crema.

illy Iperespresso and coffee capsules are available on the company website for $19 for a 21ct tin of espresso and $16.50 for 18ct cube for drip capsules.
