Wines and spirits firm Global Spirits USA has signed a distribution agreement with Lohr Distributing to sell its LEAF organic vodka, Khortytsa vodka and Odessa VSOP brandy in Missouri, US.

Founded in 1964, Lohr Distributing offers more than 1,250 brands of wine and more than 525 brands of spirits in Missouri, through its subsidiary Lohr Wine & Spirits.

Global Spirits USA central regional manager Daniel Freier said: “Our brands are a great fit for Lohr Wine & Spirits.

"LEAF’s packaging, price point and organic origins clearly resonate with today’s consumer lifestyles."

"They complement and enhance Lohr’s diverse portfolio."

The Khortytsa Distillery uses a local organic filter with a natural mineral schungite, strengthened by birch and alder-tree charcoal along with quartz sand.

The brands Khortytsa Platinum, Khortytsa Honey Pepper, Khortytsa Ice and Khortytsa De Luxe are currently imported to the US.

Lohr Wine and Spirits vice-president Scott Smithson said: “Missouri has a growing mixology culture and consumers that are open to new brands.

“LEAF’s packaging, price point and organic origins clearly resonate with today’s consumer lifestyles, while Khortytsa is a quality vodka at a terrific price point that is growing rapidly.

"Odessa Brandy offers a quality VSOP designation at an unusually accessible price point.”

LEAF vodka range is made up of sourced waters such as Alaskan glacial water and Rocky Mountain mineral water.

Developed at the Shustov Distillery, Odessa is made from spirits distilled from white grape varieties such as Rkatsiteli, Aligoté and Pinot, in copper pot stills using double fractional distillation. It is then aged for a minimum of five years.
