Gevalia Kaffe has introduced a Special Reserve line of coffees, which include four premium, 100% Arabica, single-origin coffees consisting of Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, and Papua New Guinea varieties.

The company claims that its these coffee varieties have been sourced exclusively from the respective country.

Gevalia Kaffe brand manager Kale Schnettler said: “Much like grapes used to make wine, coffee beans also take on the unique characteristics of their growing regions.

“With Gevalia Special Reserve, regular coffee drinkers and coffee connoisseurs alike can brew a premium cup of coffee themselves using these pre-ground coffee beans in both their specialty brewer and regular coffee brewer, within the comfort of their own home.”

Costa Rica Coarse Ground is claimed to be a medium-bodied coffee with fruit and citrus undertones, and is crafted specially for French Press brewing.

Guatemala Coarse Ground is reported to have a flavour with earthy, smoky notes and a hint of cocoa, and Kenya Fine Ground as a flavoured coffee with a balance of acidity and wine-esque undertones.

Whereas Papua New Guinea Fine Ground is reported to contain delicate flavour notes that are sweet and enhanced with a touch of acidity, and is made for specialty brewing with a moka pot or pour over.

Each 10oz (283g) bag of Gevalia Special Reserve includes a brewing device recommendation and easy-to-follow instructions.

It is available at grocers and mass merchandise retailers across the US at a suggested retail price of $6.99.
