Maiyas Beverages And Foods Private has secured an investment of Rs2bn ($29.9m) to expand its portfolio by launching new food products.

The Indian ready-to-eat food provider has raised the funds from private equity firms Peepul Capital and Ascent Capital Advisors, with the former providing 80% of the total investment.

The British Bottle Company has formed a partnership with Vine Street Imports (VSI) to expand its business in the US by introducing its UK-based drink brands through VSI.

To boost its business, the company further intends to establish a subsidiary in the US and hire a country manager to handle the marketing of its products.

VSI is a US-based importer of fine wines from across Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Washington State, and California.

Far Niente Winery will be acquired by private equity firm GI Partners, in a deal that is expected to be completed in June 2016.

GI Partners will acquire the Napa-based wine producer’s Far Niente, Dolce, Nickel & Nickel, EnRoute, and Bella Union wineries, as per the terms of the agreement.
