Deals this week: Asahi Premium Beverages, Altia
Asahi Premium Beverages (APB) has agreed to acquire ASM Liquor’s VDKA 6100 and Tequila Blu brands, as well as the licence for Spicebox Whisky.
According to the deal, APB will obtain the rights to distribute ASM’s VDKA 6100 vodka brand in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
The deal is expected to strengthen APB’s position in the spirits category while offering a broader range of alcoholic beverages to its customers.
APB is engaged in the manufacture, sales and marketing of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Nordic wine and spirits producer Altia has reached a distribution agreement to launch Infinium Spirits’ Finnish-based Koskenkorva Vodka brand in the US.
Infinium Spirits is an American family-owned company engaged in the import, sales and marketing of branded spirits, while Altia owns a variety of brands such as Blossa, Chill Out, Larsen and Renault, which are distributed in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
Currently available in 30 countries worldwide, Altia’s Koskenkorva Vodka Original will be initially available in 750ml and 1l bottles across the US market.
