Global carbonated drink maker Coca-Cola is set to introduce aerated drinks Kinley Flavours in India.

Confirming the upcoming launch in an email, a Coca-Cola spokesperson was quoted by The Economic Times as saying: "Coca-Cola has developed a new value-based proposition for price-conscious consumers in aerated beverages.

“These new launches will be available in 250ml polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packs at attractive price points. We are doing pilots in select markets and will expand over time.”

The new product range will be available in jeera (cumin), lemon, and orange flavours. They are reported to be 35-40% cheaper in comparison to Coke, Sprite, and Fanta, according to the publication.

Coca-Cola seeks to strengthen its share in the Indian packaged aerated drinks category, which is worth Rs220bn ($3.40bn) according to industry estimates.

In February last year, Coca-Cola launched the green mango-flavoured Fanta in India.
