US-based Chloe Wine Collection has added vineyard Merlot to its portfolio of premium wines.

The new Merlot wine is claimed to be produced using grapes grown exclusively in the San Lucas Estate Vineyard, in Monterey County.

Chloe Wine Collection marketing director Kimberly Fabbri said: "The addition of the new Merlot to the portfolio demonstrates the success of the Chloe Wine Collection and its commitment to excellence.

Merlot has been aged for one year in 50% new French and American oak barrels. It offers flavours of blackberries, black cherry, and plum along with delicate notes of vanilla, mocha, and spice.
