Anheuser-Busch’s beer brand Budweiser has launched new limited edition American amber lager 1933 Repeal Reserve.

Created and brewed by Adolphus Busch, the beer was previously reserved due to a nationwide constitutional ban.

The current launch is intended to celebrate the anniversary repeal of the prohibition.

Budweiser vice-president Ricardo Marques said: “We are excited to mark the upcoming holiday season and the anniversary of the repeal of prohibition with this new brew based on a forgotten recipe.

“While Budweiser Repeal Reserve is a great tasting Amber Lager, it also tells the story of an important part of our history and gives a reason for celebration.”

“The 1933 Repeal Reserve features an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 6.1%, which is 5% higher than its predecessor.”

With a light, hoppy aroma and caramel-malt taste, the 1933 Repeal Reserve features an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 6.1%, which is 5% higher than its predecessor.

Packaged in a vintage Budweiser stubby bottle, the release is accompanied by TV and digital marketing campaigns.

The brand has collaborated with beer delivery service provider Drizly to make the new product available to its customers across the country.

The American-style lager had been brewed using Kraeusening methods for natural carbonation and Beechwood for ageing.
