Aldi has expanded its portfolio of low-alcohol wine with the addition of four new products from Featherweight.

The new Featherweight range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, and White Zinfandel rose wine.

Containing 5.5% alcohol-by-volume (ABV), the range will be retailed for a recommended retail price (RRP) of £2.99.

Featherweight Sauvignon Blanc is available in Swindon, Bathgate, Chelmsford, Neston, and Goldthorpe. It has aromas of gooseberry and mint leaf, with flavours of apple and lemon.

Available in Atherstone, Bolton, Darlington, and Cardiff, Featherweight Italian Pinot Grigio is defined by its crisp citrus and white peach aromas. 

Featherweight Merlot is available in stores across the country. It is soft and fruity, with aromas of plum and strawberry.

Featherweight White Zinfandel range is available in Swindon, Bathgate, Chelmsford, Neston, and Goldthorpe. The wine is said to contain around 30% fewer calories than a typical dry rose wine.

Aldi has more than 700 stores and plans to open a further 60 this year.
