Koloa Rum has launched a Hawaiian rum called Kauai Reserve.

Produced at the company’s Kalaheo distillery using Hawaii sugar cane and fresh island water, the new product is aged for a minimum of three years in select American white oak barrels.

Koloa Rum president and CEO Bob Gunter said: “We are thrilled to be launching our newest rum at the dawn of the new year. Kauai Reserve pours elegantly from the bottle, with a warm golden hue and a bouquet of mellow oak, orange peel and toasted vanilla.

“It’s remarkably smooth with rich, complex flavours that linger long after the last sip.”

Koloa’s new Hawaiian rum will be available at the Koloa Rum tasting room, as well as at the company’s store at the Kilohana Plantation on Kauai for $49.99 per 750ml bottle.

Koloa Rum intends to release the beverage to California and other West Coast markets by next month.

The company’s rum products include Kauai White, Gold, Dark, Spice, Coconut and Coffee.
