US-based health food company fairlife is relaunching its coffee-flavoured Core Power protein shake.

Core Power Coffee is the newest addition to the brand’s Original collection of protein shakes. Other Core Power flavours in this collection include chocolate, vanilla, banana and strawberry banana. All the products in the Original group contain 26g of protein per serving.

The new coffee beverage thus contains 6g more protein fairlife’s previous coffee-flavoured Core Power product. It also has 85g of caffeine in each 11.5oz bottle.

The other protein shake collection is Elite, which contains 42g of protein. Elite Core Power is available in chocolate and vanilla.

fairlife co-founder and dairy farmer Sue McCloskey said: “The cult following for Core Power is strong among health-conscious athletes, from yogis and runners to weekend warriors and elite athletes, who want to build lean muscle and support healthy recovery.

“We were inundated with passionate messages and inquiries from fans requesting that we bring back our oh-so-tasty caffeinated sports nutrition recovery drink.”

“So much so that, after we discontinued the coffee flavour, we were inundated with passionate messages and inquiries from fans requesting that we bring back our oh-so-tasty caffeinated sports nutrition recovery drink.

“We credit our very vocal and committed fans with the return of the coffee flavour. The many pleas we received made it clear that the coffee culture is a very important one to our consumers and, because we are committed to meeting their needs, we are excited to launch Core Power Coffee.”

Similar to all fairlife products, Core Power shakes are lactose-free. The main source of protein in the products are whey and casein proteins found in real cow’s milk.

Core Power Coffee is scheduled to be released later this year following a refresh of the packaging of fairlife’s whole Core Power collection.
