Coca-Cola India (CCI) has expanded its mango drink portfolio with the launch of Maaza Gold.

The new drink is claimed to have been produced using the highest quality mangoes, making a thicker and smoother drink.

Maaza was originally launched in 1970. With Maaza Gold, the beverage company intends to make Maaza a billion dollar mango juice brand by 2023.

“The new drink will be available in 1l Tetra Pak packaging.”

Coca-Cola India and South West Asia juices marketing director Srideep Kesavan said: “We are always listening to our consumers and with the launch of Maaza Gold the company is expanding its product portfolio in-line with consumer tastes.

“The company is also accelerating Maaza’s journey towards becoming a homegrown billion-dollar brand by 2023.”

Maaza Gold is said to be in line with the company’s commitment to providing greater choice to consumers.

The new drink will be available in 1l Tetra Pak packaging and consumers can purchase the product at retail outlets, select grocery stores and online stores throughout India.

Along with its bottling partners, CCI currently procures nearly 100,000 metric tonnes of mango pulp annually.
