US-based spirits maker Campari America has partnered with Norway’s Thin Film Electronics to improve its e-commerce presence.

Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, mobile marketing and smart packaging solutions developer Thin Film Electronics develops near-field communication (NFC) solutions using printed electronics technology, as well as and creates printed tags and labels.

“The magnets transfer relevant product pages from alcohol e-commerce platform Drizly to the user’s phone.”

As per the deal, Campari America will be using Thin Film Electronic’s NFC mobile marketing solution, which will enable its consumers to purchase spirits by tapping their smartphone to a refrigerator magnet featuring a SpeedTap tag.

Integrated with the company’s CNECT Cloud-based platform, the magnets transfer relevant product pages from alcohol e-commerce platform Drizly to the user’s phone. Consumers will then be able to add the item to their cart ready for purchase.

Campari America expects to increase its customer base using Thin Film Electronic’s technology.
